GUMU X3 tips– Promoting Additional Address and Contacts

In our previous blog we have discussed about configuring our integration Sage X3 version 7. In our GUMU™ Integration, user is allowed to create additional contact and Address before promoting a customers to Sage X3. Once the customer is promoted to Sage X3, user will not be able to create Additional Address or person.
In this blog we will be discussing about the reason of the above issue and providing solution for the same.

New Stuff: Implementing Real time synchronization from Sage CRM to Sage X3 using GUMU

Issue: Additional Address and contacts are not created for the integrated customer.
Reason: In our GUMU™ integration, we have used Sage ERP web services to connect to ERP X3 and created/update customers/Address and person. In the Standard Sage X3 Web services itself, for existing customers user is not allowed to create Additional Address and contact. In case if you are creating a new customer using web services then user will be allowed  create a customer along with additional details.
Solution: For resolving the above issue, user will have to install a Hotfix provided by Sage. You can contact Sage Support for implementing the same. Once the above changes are implemented, user should be able to promote Additional Address and Additional person using our GUMU integration.
Please note that the hotfix can be implemented on X3 system having patch P28 or above for Sage X3 v6.5 and P7 for Sage X3 v7
