Sage X3 version 7 has included a new feature in which we can directly add an external link for a website to the menu item.
New Stuff: How to mandate Dimension Types in any transaction wherever required at company level
To add an external link in menu item, navigate to:
Administration>Authoring>Menu Items
Please refer below screen shot. In ‘Link type’ select ‘External link’.
In URL section, just enter the desired URL you wish to open. I have added ‘www.greytrix.com’ here.
Once your menu item is created, you just need to link it to the navigation page. I have added my menu item ‘My URL’ in a submodule ‘My Sales Orders’. Please refer below screenshot.
Now click on the menu item and you will be redirected to the web page of the URL you inserted. i.e. Greytrix’s home page in my case.
