Sage Enterprise Management (Sage X3) provides us with a feature to setup Sales price based on the Purchase price of Product. This set-up is subsequently used for charging a customer based on the purchasing cost of the product.
E.g. an instance where you want to sell a product to a customer on the 50% margin from the purchasing cost of that product.
To setup this functionality, follow below steps-
- Navigate to Products -> Purchase Tab
- Enter base Purchase price for product.
- Note that price here is entered in Euro currency
- e.g. 40 Euro

- Navigate to Products -> Sales Tab
- Enter Price origin as ‘Purchase price %’ as shown in screenshot below-
- Enter % applied as desired margin in % on purchase price
- e.g. 50%

- Notice that the base price is updated to 40 % of the Purchase price.
- Sales price = 50 + (50*40%) =56 Euro
- Navigate to Sales -> Orders -> Orders
- Enter all mandatory details such as Site, Customer, Product, Quantity
- Notice that gross price is automatically fetched as per the Sales price calculated based on Purchase price %.
