We may come across the “nextLong “error while invoking web service. One way to resolve the “nextLong” error is below.
In Version 11 and Version 12, created object based web service for saving the product .While trying to save new product we received nextLong error with Type 4. Refer. Fig., 1.1
Cause:
If no field found or exceeds dimensional field:
If
we try to send value for field, which is not available in screen
causes nextLong Error. More precise if you try to pass values in
dimensional field, in screen dimension specified as 5 and you try to
pass 6 values to it then nextLong error will occur.
Example: Created Customized dimensional field XIVENCUST of 5, but trying to send 6 values to it. Refer Fig 1.2
Solution: Send values exact or less than dimension specified in the field.
