With the release of Sage 300 v2021, Sage has implemented new Security feature in Sage 300 Passwords. In this blog, we are going to discuss the additional new feature in Sage 300 v2021 that is Default Stronger Security for passwords.
New Stuff:
It helps to maintain the confidentiality of sage 300 and it will also minimize the risk of unauthorized activity.
When you installed the sage 300 then this feature will activate automatically which means applied some security to set the new passwords. This feature has some rules for setting a new password. The password must contain the letters as well as numbers i.e. password must be alphanumeric. Password must be 8 characters long.
In the earlier version of sage 300 this feature is included but by your choice you can use, it is not compulsory to use but in sage 300 v2021, it is kept as default. In the prior version, you can activate this setting while database setup. In the database setup there is one option of security when you click this option as shown in below image new window will open.
