Sage 300 provides an SDK using which a developer can customize an existing OCX screen. This customize screen needs to be upgraded with a higher version of sage 300 when you upgrade your Sage 300 to higher version. While upgrading this customized source code with a higher version and making the OCX, sometimes we face an Error like “Unable to set the version compatible component.”

Below are the steps to resolve Customized box error.
- Click on Project Menu and then click Properties of OCX. E.g. (AccpacGD1003.ocx)
Click on Component Tab then select the No Compatibility radio button.
- Click on OK.
- Now make the OCX from File menu again and you can see that the error is now disappear.
- Now, again change the compatibility to binary and make the ocx again.
