Yes, you heard it right!!! Now, with the upcoming version Sage CRM 7.3v sage will be coming up with de-duplication feature at Lead level which was earlier restricted to Company and Person entities only.
In our recent experiences across the retail businesses we found it was very much important to have duplication checks at every level of SageCRM as the data being entered is becoming huge day by day. Well, I may be in hurry to disclose these features at beta stage, however felt it’s worth a share.
The basic setting to enable Deduplication rule will remain available under Administration | System | System Behaviour with an additional field on the screen which says Deduplication Rule which contains And & Or option. By selecting the required option from this field system administrator can configure the system in a way that data duplication can execute based on these conditions. See below screenshot for your reference.
Once the configuration is made by system administrator the lead screen for an end user will look like as below screen.
Here on this screen user will be asked to enter the Company Name and Last Name before punching the actual lead information. Now, while clicking on Enter Lead Details button system will search for the corresponding leads data which matches the details entered and accordingly De Duplication message will appear either to tag it with existing lead or to create a fresh lead in system.
