CRM Quick Find Service with the launch of Sage CRM 2017

Sage CRM installer installs different types of services on the CRM application server. This services are useful to run different types of mechanisms in CRM. Below are the services with their use.

  1. CRM Indexer Service:

This service is useful to run the Keyword search functionality in CRM. It creates index in all the database records and then updates the index intermittently to track the records that have been added or updated in the database.

  1. CRM Escalation Service:

Main purpose of this service is to run the escalation rules configured in Sage CRM.

  1. CRM E-mail Manager Service:

The CRM E-mail Manager Service runs as a background process on the server and processes inbound emails according to predefined business rules.

With the release of Sage CRM 2017 R1, a new service named “CRM QuickFind” is introduced in Sage CRM. This service is responsible for the “Quick Find” feature available in Sage CRM 2017 R1 onwards.

Using Quick Find we can search the data across all the entities in one click only.

You can view the current status of Quick Find service in “Quick Find service status” in Sage CRM. Refer below screenshot for the same.

In the above screenshot, the date and time of last indexing completed is shown in “Last Quick Find index completed at” field. Also, you can restart the Quick Find service using “Restart Quick Find” button available in above screenshot.
