It is quite often that we do some customizations related to financial data in X3, and almost most of the times it has something related to the Amount field.
In case if we have a customization where we need to modify the decimal places used in the currency data i.e. we need to have only 2 decimal places while system allows 4 decimal places, thus in this scenario there will always be the difference between the customer actual calculation and that done by Sage X3.
We can change the number of decimals in the Currency Master, as per the requirement, however sometimes it happens this did not work and for this, we have another option as well.
We can change the number of decimals for the data type [MD5] used in the Currency field, you need to do the Table Validation to make this change effective.
Please take care to protect this change with Activity Code or this will implement the change within the entire ERP.
