An allocation is an amount of something, especially money, that is given to a particular person or used for a particular purpose. Allocation is the process of assigning product items from the inventory to shipping orders and then fulfilling the shipping orders from appropriate fulfilment sites such as drop-ship vendors, virtual sites, warehouses, or a retail store. We came across a scenario where client wanted to stop the Automatic allocation of sales order. In Sage X3, there is a feature where we can stop the automatic allocation of Sales order.
New Stuff: Adding runtime selection criteria in SQL requestor.
Navigate to: Set up > General parameters > Parameter values
1. Jump to ORD Group i.e. Order allocation rules
- In the Init quantity to allocate to order parameter set as a “NO”.
- Now, Set the Re-instate order allocations equal to “NO”.
- Save the record , as shown in below figure.
Now, we will create Sales order.
Navigate to: Sales > Orders
- Create sales order
- Then X3 will no be allocated the sales order automatically.
With the help of above parameter, we can restrict the automatic allocation.
