Have you ever come across a circumstance in Sage X3 where you would like to reserve the stock of managed product for customer?
Sage X3 has a feature where we can reserve the stock for customers. To successfully bring this functionality follow below steps.
Navigate To: Sales>Allocations>Customer reservations
We can reserve the product in stock for given customer of all orders. As there is limit of reservation, so we have to set the reservation end date. This reservation is represented in the system by global allocation.
After completing customer reservation, the sales order Sage X3 will ask to assign the reserved quantity. If you click “YES”, Sage X3 assigns the reserved quantity to the sales order. (Refer the below screen shot)
