A product is any item or service you sell to serve a customer’s need or want. A product can be physical or virtual. Physical products include durable goods (such as cars, furniture, and computers) and nondurable goods.
In Sage X3 we can define or assign product-site for one particular product from product-sites screen or from button which is present on product master screen, but there is standard functionality in Sage X3 from where we can assign or define multiple product-sites for one particular product in bulk.
Follow the below steps to assign the product-sites for product:
Step 1: Create a new product
Navigate to: Common Data > Products > Products
- Enter product category, status, Product name and description in their respective fields.
- Create a record
Refer below figure for the same.
After creation of product, we need to define or assign product- site for that product.
Step 2: Click on the action button which is present right side on product master screen
After clicking on action button in Function action you will get ‘Product site creation’ option, click on the same. Refer below figure for the same.
After clicking on Product site creation option below screen will get display.
- It will show only lists of stock sites with name and company which are present in Sage X3.
- You can select multiple sites with the help of checkbox on grid
- User also can check the checkbox of ‘Log’ so it will generate the log file after defining the product-sites for that product.

After clicking on creation button, it will process and log file will get generated, as shown in below figure,
Now we can check the assigned product sites which we have defined for that particular product with the help of Product site screen.
Navigate to: Common data > Products > Product-site
You can see in below figure assigned product-sites,
With the help of above steps, you can define the product at multiple sites in bulk process.
