In our latest blog we have discussed about maintaining image for inventory item using Ops inquiry, in this blog we are going to discuss about the necessary settings that needs to be done to maintain image using Ops inquiry.

Navigation for the setting:
If Ops Inquiry mod is active, you can access the setup screen by navigating Ops Inquiry Setup screen Options tab. Please refer to below screenshot for the same:
As you can see in the screenshot above, on this setup screen under options tab we have an option i.e. “Use Item Picture”. Please note that, if this option is on then only we can make other settings and can maintain the images for inventory items and can view the same on IC Items Inquiry screen under Unit tab as discussed in our recant blog “Maintaining Images for IC Items”.
Next to “Use Item Picture” option you will find Picture File settings here you can specify type of images you want to maintain for an item i.e. bitmap (.bmp) or JEPG (.jpg).
Here you can see that choice is given to opt for itemcode.bmp / itemcode.jpg this states that the picture file name must be item code (un-formatted item number as filename cannot contain special characters.
One more option is provided that is “Use Field” this must be a field name by which item image file will be searched.
Next to Picture File settings you can look at option to specify path for image fie that is “Store pictures at” you can specify location where these item image files will be stored and will be retrieved from the location to display on Item inquiry screen.
