Document Scanning in Sage X3

Document Scanning has been one of the most sought-after features in most ERPs. In this blog, we will demonstrate a custom Document Scanning utility created by us that is integrated with the existing Sage X3s’ Attachments utility.
This custom document scanning utility empowers you to scan a document that is on the scanner and attach it to the transaction using the Attachments utility. Following are the steps to scan and attach a document to a transaction.

1. Open a transaction screen say Sales Order.
2. Click on the File -> Attached Items or (clip)  icon on the tool bar.

This would open up the Attachments screen.
3. Click on Scan button and scan viewer window will open.
4. Click on “Scan all pages from ADF to PDF” and the application will start scanning the document placed on the scanner. Once the scan is complete you can attach this document to the transaction as you normally do using the Attachments Utility.
