While working on one the projects, we came across a situation where Sage ERP X3 was not updating the existing index in SQL server table whenever we added the activity code and did the validation even though the activity code was active.

After some R&D, we came up with a simple solution. To avoid this you may follow below setting in Sage ERP X3.
Navigate to: Setup > General Parameters > Folders
Set the vertical to “Yes” and save. There is no need to do folder validation.
If the indicator is set to No, the specific/customization will not be updated when a re-validation is carried out even if they exist already.
