seg$: This function is used to extract a sub-string located between two positions in a character string.
Syntax: seg$( string, start, end )
Parameter details:
- string: String value from which we need to extract the substring.
- Start: Numerical integer expression for the position extraction begins.
- End: Numerical integer expression for the position where extraction stops.
Example: # Extraction of letters of the alphabet between the 2nd and 8th letters; # this program displays “BCDEFGH” ALPHABET = “ABCDEFGHIJKLMNOPQRSTUVWXYZ”
