As we know, we can create our own file through code and write content into it, in Sage X3. We can create a file with name of our own choice. But, if we want to download the same at client work station then we can simply do it using function COPCLI() . You can refer blog regarding the same.
When file gets downloaded it has some default name. However, if you want to download it with some specific name, we can achieve this too in sage x3.
Sage X3 provides special variable wherein, we can set the name of the file to be downloaded.
FICDEF = file_name
For example: If you are downloading a file from source path and you want to rename it as “TEST_currentDateTimeFormat” then please refer below snippet:
You can get file “TEST_20190524081214” downloaded.
