A menu profile code does not define access rights but only a navigation tree structure. The latter are defined by the function profile code as well as by some additional parameters of the user record. Once we have done with installation of X3, we have to create the User first and for that User we have to set the Menu profile , Menu profile is nothing but the menu list which user can seen on the Navigation, recently added in Sage X3 Version 12 onwards, Let’s See how to Add Menu Profile in sage X3.
New Stuff: How to execute workflow programmatically?
Steps to add that menu in your menu profile.
Navigate to: Setup > Users > Menu profile
1. Create New profile for e.g. “Acct” Description as ” Account User ” select and start Menu ” START”
2. Select the Main Function as shown in below image
In the New releases of X3, instead of creating new Function , it is providing list of function on right side of screen here we just have checked the functions
3. Click on Function Profile >> Select the checkbox of the functions need to be added in ACCT menu
4. Click on “OK” then “Save”.
Now we can use this menu profile to user , Restart the X3 login using the User having the Updated Menu profile “ACCT”, can check the The same Function profile on Navigation Key.
In this way we can use the Menu profile functionality available in X3 with Updated UI on Navigation Feature.
