The most important feature of any ERP is to provide data backup/ restore feature. Sage ERP X3 provides this in an option called Data Import/Extract available under its Development Parent Menu.
The folder which consists of this data backup in Sage X3 is called as “SVG”. This folder is available in the below-mentioned path:
Sage X3 Installation Folder> \<Folder Name>\ SVG
We will now take you through some basic steps to import\extract the data backup. Below are the steps followed to import the data in Sage X3:
- As mentioned above the SVG folder is available in the Sage X3 Installation Folder> \<Folder Name>\.
- Thus as you need to get the New Data Imported in Sage X3, please copy the new SVG folder in the below path, and if it already exists replace the same with the New one.
- Now when copying is completed, please login into the needed folder.
- Then Go to Development>Utilities>Extraction/Integration>Data Import
Check the below screenshot.
- When you are in the above menu, the user will have an option to input the folder Name.
- The Backup Directory is automatically populated with the folder name “SVG”.
- Now you have a choice to select the specified table name and as well as all tables of the folder.
- To select all the tables please enter “*” in the Tables to Import.
- Click on OK
- The Process will continue and you will get log file at the End of the process
- Once completed please relogin.
