“Too Many Records” message in SSA field in Sage CRM

SSA field in Sage CRM is an important and one of the extensively used feature to link one entity with another entity. While linking one of the records we have observed that SSA field was showing “Too Many Records” message at the bottom of SSA field.

Below is the screenshot where you can see there are to many records message displaying into Company SSA field.

After little bit investigation, we understood that this is controlled from configuration within Sage CRM. In order to make changes into configuration, follow the below steps.

  1. Log in to Sage CRM with Admin user.
  2. Navigate to Administration | System | System Behaviour
  3. Click on Change button and set Search select advanced fields grid size option value to 100 or whichever value you want. Value set into this field specifies the size of Search Select Advanced lists.
  4. Click on Save.

After above changes, “Too Many Records” message will display only after 100 records are available into SSA dropdown (highlighted section).

Kindly note that, changes made into System Behavior will be applied into all SSA fields throughout Sage CRM system.
