In the context of the sales order process in Sage X3, this implementation focuses on creating an outbound process for sales orders. Specifically, we aim to enhance the functionality by introducing a new button on the Sales Delivery Screen. This button will be selectively enabled only for inter-site deliveries, which involve transferring stock between different warehouse locations.
The primary purpose of this new button is to facilitate the export of an Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) file, specifically the 943 formats, which corresponds to the inter-site sales delivery. The EDI file serves as a standardized electronic document that contains relevant information related to the sales delivery. To provide visibility and tracking of the export status, a flag will be incorporated. This flag will indicate whether the 943 EDI file has been successfully exported for a given sales delivery, ensuring better control and monitoring of the outbound process. By implementing this new feature, users will have a streamlined and efficient method to generate and export the necessary EDI files, enhancing the overall sales order process in Sage X3.

The implementation of the 943 Out (Sales Delivery Inter-site stock transfer) process in Sage X3 includes the following features:
1. A button on the Sales Delivery screen enables the export of an EDI file (943) specific to inter-site deliveries.
2. The button is disabled for non-inter-site deliveries, and another button (856Out) is enabled instead.
3. The export of the 943 EDI file is indicated by a flag and a file-name field is provided for tracking purposes.
4. The exported file is saved to a local drive and then sent to a predefined location.
5. A folder structure is set up in the backend to organize the exported files, with an “actual” folder for current exports and an “archive” folder for backup.
6. Additionally, a user-friendly screen allows for the export of 943 files for multiple sales deliveries.
7. The export process can be controlled by a pop-up message that prompts the user to confirm the export if a file for a specific delivery has already been exported.
8. The functionality of the process can be tailored to specific users and customers, providing customization options.
