Duration column in Tracking tabs within Sage CRM

Hey folks! You guys must have seen Duration column within Tracking tabs of Cases, Opportunities etc. Duration column shows values in Days, Hours and Minutes format. In this blog, we will explain how Duration is calculated within Sage CRM and displayed into Tracking tabs.

Consider Opportunity with its Tracking details as shown below.Tracking details Duration column is a calculated field and it is defined as ‘Minutes’ Entry Type. Also this field is Read-only and cannot be set to be editable in entry screens.

Execute below SQL query to get Tracking details of above mentioned Opportunity.

Select Oppo_duration, Oppo_OpportunityProgressId, Oppo_OpportunityId  from OpportunityProgress where Oppo_OpportunityId=290

Below result will appear.SQL query to get Tracking details Duration column consists of values in Minutes.

According to Sage CRM Business Calendar, 1 day = 8.30 minutes. Refer below screenshot.Timings1 Hours = 60 Minutes

7 Hours 8 Minutes = 50 Minutes

1 Day = 8 Hours 30 Minutes = 510 Minutes

32 Days 1 Hour 58 Minutes = 16438 Minutes

Hence above mentioned data is displayed into Duration column of above example. Hope this helps!
