Solution for Running Reports in Sage CRM

One of the most used features in Sage CRM is ‘Report’. In this blog, we have discussed a solution for the error message “The field does not exist or is not a report field, or you are not permitted to use it: lead_priority” when you try to run the report.

Sage CRM always provides some reports for the standard entity. So we can take this report from standard Reports -> Lead -> Leads by Campaign

Some time on running the report you will receive below error message.

This is because the security access rights for the field in Sage CRM is denied. Hence to provide access to particular field displayed on the screen you need to follow the below steps.

  1. Log in the Sage CRM with Admin user.
  2. Navigate to Administration | Customization | Lead
  3. Search for field with a name lead_priority click on field security for changes as shown in below screenshot.

  5. As you can see in below screenshot, the Read and Write Access is Deny for the field.
  6. Field Security -Denied

  7. So go ahead and change the Read and Write Access to Allow then click on Continue. As shown in the below screenshot.
  8. Modified Field Security-Allow

  9. Now go back to the report and retry running the same.
